Great Motivation

Monday, September 26, 2011

I don't know what it is about the song Everybody Needs Love from my new album. Every time I listen to it, I want to get to working out. It gets me excited and makes me want to drop down and do push-ups. What songs are working for you?

Good Influence

Thursday, September 22, 2011

I must be doing something right. Baby David is watching me do my sit-ups and push-ups and weights, and he can now do his very own little baby push-up. It's so cool to see that I joined Weight Watchers just after having my baby and wanting to get healthy and lose weight and now I can be a role model for him. I love that!

Mini-goal

Monday, September 19, 2011

I have a vacation coming. I can't wait. I am letting it serve as a mini-goal for me right now. I focus on it and use it to motivate me to follow the program. I love mini-goals. I even try to set one every day, like making sure I drink all my water and eat my fruits and veggies. It keeps me focused, and I feel great when I achieve it.

Love the idea about mini goals as when I've just started my journey and have only lost 1 lbs so far, and 50 more to go, mini seems better than the entire picture. First mini goal, 5 lbs :)

Get That Water In!

Thursday, September 15, 2011

I don't like drinking water. I have discovered that I can down one full 16-ounce water bottle right when I wake up and not notice I drank it. I fight to get the rest in during the day, but I know it is important, especially in this heat!

someone in the meeting room told us, just like you wash your external body with a shower in the morning, you can wash your internal body with 16oz of water. Made me drink first thing.

Here We Go Again

Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Here I am on another movie set and converting everyone to Weight Watchers members. Everyone here is asking me a million questions every day about how I got skinny, and I am telling them to try Weight Watchers. Then they go and join and we all help each other out on the set. We share ideas, tips, ways for staying on plan. Some of the questions I get: How many PointsPlus® values do you think are in this, Jen? What are you eating for lunch today, Jen? I love to turn as many people on to this as I can!

A House Can Be a Home

Friday, September 09, 2011

While filming The Three Stooges, I decided to stay in a house rather than another hotel. It is such a nice change to have a full kitchen and a grill for preparing my meals. This summer I am all about barbecues and apples. I have a couple of family members staying with me, and my brother Lonnie is great on the grill. We have been having really nice family dinners each night after returning from long days on the set. The atmosphere here is fun and lively and feels almost like a home. I even love the heat!

We also grill extra meals so I can take my lunch to work the next day. The food on the set of my new movie can be a challenge but bringing my lunch to work is like having a home-cooked meal in the middle of a long day. The best part is that I prepared it, so I know exactly how many PointsPlus® values are in it!

I just make my week's worth and put it in tupperward microwave bowls and leave it stacked in the fridge. One minute in the microwave, 1 cup frozen blueberries, 3 packs sweet and low and 1cup fat free milk and I am full till about 2 pm.
