Curves Workout

I am 69 years old; I started doing the Curves workout in November. I am faithful, and do it 3 times per week, but do not know how many calories it burns, or how many points it is. If anyone out there knows, please let me know. I am totally working hard when I do the workout, and am soaking wet from prespiring when I finish. I work very hard at it.

    Hi I just joined weight watchers and first meeting is saturday I am also a member of curves and I workout 3 times a week

    You can check to see if you have Curves Smart Program available. Your workout is tracked on a key tag that gets put into each machine. When you are done with the workout, it tells you what areas you need to improve on and where you did well. It also tells you how many calories you have burned! There is no additional charge for this program. I really like it because it is customized to me and a great tracking tool to show progress.

    I am 68 years old and started Curves last Fall. I really love the workout and enjoy the conversations with others as we workout. That seems to make the 30 minutes go even faster! Our trainer said we burn about 300 calories so I've been counting just 3 points for each workout. Walking and using my glider are done the other 5 days.

    Glad there is something about Curves. I was beginning to think WW didn't have info on it. I just joined Curves and will dedicate 3 days a week to start. My husband and I have been walking two miles a day, 2 or 3 days a week but it doesn't seem to shrink my belly! I am 67 years old and have arthritis and have been told exercise is the best thing to do. I guess I'll post 4 APS for now.

    Also one of the activities WW offers in their onlien tracker is circuit training. I've been doing Curves for a few weeks now and I love it...I get anywhere from 4-6 APS for it.

    How is your Curves going? I have been faithly going now for 4 months. It has moved my WI from .3lbs a week up to 3 lbs a week. I love it.

    Mamoe35: Thanks for letting me know the point count for Curves. I have been guessing all along. It's nice to know that it's 5-6 points!!!

    When I spoke with my leader, she said that I could count 5-6 AP each workout. I also work out hard and leave covered in sweat. But it feels so good. I sleep better and have more energy

    Do you have a heart monitor you could use? That would help you track more precisely the level of intensity of your workout.
