Everyone that knows me knows that I love sushi! I’m so happy that I can eat it again. I gave it up a couple years ago because the diet I was on told me to stay away from white carbs. I was only allowed to eat brown rice or wheat bread and in very small amounts, so I had to leave the sushi alone. I missed it and tried to find brown rice sushi when I could, but that never happened.
In my first meeting, my leader was talking about some of her favorite stuff to eat and mentioned sushi. I stopped her right there and was like "you eat sushi on this plan?" She told me that it was actually a great choice and you could really work it in. I didn't believe that at first, but as we got into it I decided to give it a try. I went to a great sushi restaurant and had some sushi for the first time in years. I even lost weight that week. Amen! Sushi is back in my life. Just don't eat it the night before weigh in!
