Hungry Girl Goes… In Search of Flavored Water and Low-Calorie Drinks!

Don't get me wrong; I love plain old H2O. I drink many, many glasses of it a day… but now and then, we all need a little something extra. Right? So here are a few lightly flavored, low-calorie water options for those days when plain water is plain unappealing. Hydrate yourselves, people!

Vitaminwater Zero

OK, full disclosure: I liked Vitaminwater10 way more. The perfect combo of sweeteners made it fully worth the 10 cals a cup. Why they had to go messing with a good thing, I have no idea. However, the calorie-free version is not terrible; it's still worth drinking (especially if it's very cold). And it's naturally sweetened with stevia. If it's a fruity beverage you crave, and you're not into artificial sweeteners, try this.

Each 8-oz. serving has 0 calories, 0g fat, 0g fiber, and a POINTS® value of 0.

Skinny Water

This is another no-calorie, sweetened, flavored, "can we really call this water?" line of waters. A few flavors are better than others, and some taste pretty good. (The "Total-V" Lemonade Passionfruit is my favorite.) Each flavor has added vitamins and intended benefits, too. A pretty sweet bonus!

Each 8-oz. serving has 0 calories, 0g fat, 0g fiber, and a POINTS value of 0.

Crystal Light Pure Fitness

An alternative to the CL that HGers already love, this one has no artificial sweeteners. The powdered mix has a combo of cane juice, sugar, and Truvia. I've only had the Grape flavor so far, but I love it. One can only hope the other flavors — Lemon Lime and Strawberry Kiwi — are equally delicious...

Each half-packet serving has 15 calories, 0g fat, 0g fiber, and a POINTS value of 0.

Metromint

I'm not huge on mint-flavor things, but a lot of people love this line of mint-hinted aguas. There's Spearmint, original Peppermint, Cherrymint, Lemonmint, Orangemint, and Chocolatemint. If you've ever wanted your water to taste more like a York Peppermint Patty, you might want to give this stuff a shot.

Each 8-oz. serving has 0 calories, 0g fat, 0g fiber, and a POINTS value of 0.

Aquafina FlavorSplash

This flavor-tinged water is super delicious. It's lightly sweetened with Splenda and comes in six flavors: Grape, Wild Berry, Strawberry Kiwi, Raspberry, Lemon, and Peach Mango. I like this because it tastes good but isn't as intensely flavored as some similar products, which makes it very, very refreshing. Mmmmm...

Each 8-oz. serving has 0 calories, 0g fat, 0g fiber, and a POINTS value of 0.

Dasani Flavors

The neat thing about these? They've got fruit flavoring and are very lightly sweetened with Splenda, so you just get an essence of Grape, Raspberry, Lemon, or Strawberry. Kind of like having a squeeze of lemon in your water… only with other flavor options. There's something a little swanky and sophisticated about these… Well, as sophisticated as water in a plastic bottle can be!

Each 8-oz. serving has 0 calories, 0g fat, 0g fiber, and a POINTS value of 0.

I am so confused about how to track my Vitamin Water Zero. If I'm going to open a bottle i am going to finish the bottle throughout the day. According to the label its 2.5 servings per bottle. If I put it in the calculator it calculates 1 point but everything I read says its 0 points. Not a big deal when its just 1 point but this will be a bigger deal this summer when I am hanging out on the boat and I may want a few a day. Any advice would be appreciated?

The best ever for flavored water for me is ice water with a generous squeeze of fresh lemon juice--delicious, cheap no calories.

My very favorite is Sobe flavored waters! They have several flavors to choose from and they're all 0 Points! Don't get these confused with the fruit drinks that do have some calories in them.

I've tried many different flavors of Crystal Light, the best is Green Tea Peach Mango! But there's nothing that can match the natural Lemon and Lime in distilled water with a touch of Truvia calorie-free sweetener. Too much of the other flavored waters affected my blood pressure due to the accumulation of too much sodium.

I love Arizona Peach Ice Tea - it is made with Splenda so it tastes good. I get it just about anywhere in the one gallon jug - but you can get the powder mix at Kroger. I bought the jug once and then buy the mix because it's much cheaper. Then I just mix it in the jug.

I'm also a fan of the SoBe Zero, the Archer Farms waters from Target (Blueberry Tangerine and Lemon Raspberry and Pineapple Mango - yummy!), and I really like the new Raspberry Green Tea from Crystal Light!

Yes as KMidori mentioned - what about the Sobe Zero Waters?! There's at least 6 flavors, all that are delicious and kindof unique, like, "Cherry Dragonfruit" (I have no idea what a Dragonfruit is!) And I don't know if this sale is still going on, but last week at Target they were on sale for 10 for $10 and you got a $5 Target gift card if you bought the full 10!

I love Metromint waters. Ice cold when you are hot and thirsty they are amazing. The only downside is that they are hard to find (only a few stores carry it at all and even fewer carry the most awsome chocolate mint) and they are pretty expensive. But when you can find it - it is worth it to me!!
