Yesterday I sorta started the day very non op even before I finally got the new program to load...but so far today, I really do think I like it. I planned my food out for the remainder of the day and still have 1 extra point. I used to be at 24, so now I get the extra 5...and although some foods have gone up, the healthy ones for the most part really have not.
Skim milk is still 2 points, chobaini greek non fat yogurt is 3 .
I bought some soup today at the store, low cal ones, and they have gone up just a point on the new plan..as well as several smart ones and lean cuisine meals and they also on average went up by just a single point--and now I have 5 extra points per day plus no longer need to count my fruit or veggies...so I do think I like this, I think that the new plan does reward us for making healthy choices because if we chose ones that arent healthy, the point values, yes have gone up most times...but the healthy things, fruit, skim milk, veggies...they are low in values so if we choose those first as the bulk of our day, we will have more points than before for treats, if we so choose.

** With 1 cup non fat milk, this used to be 2 points, but now when you type in the carbs/protien/fat/fiber when prepared with the one cup of milk---it equals just ONE point! Every Tues I volunteer at at hospital from 730-1230, I drink one at 630 am and it truly always carries me over without being hungry during that time ( I am ready to eat at 1230 when I get out-but I am not STARVING...so it manages my hunger that whole time!) Just a suggestion-its packed with vitamins and minerals as well.
My day on 24 points:
Breakfast: Carnation sugar free instant= 1 point
Lunch: 1 cup rice= 5, 1 tbs light margarine=1 , cabbage=0
Afternoon snacks= Orange= 0, Bananna= 0
Dinner= Pasta 1.5 cups= 7.5, 1 tbs margarine=1, 1/2 cup lean meat sauce and grated cheese sprinkle= 5, one cup skim milk=2, spinich=0
Snack= one whole cup (not the half cup) of jello sugar free pudding made with one cup skim milk= 4 points
wait...huh...I Still have 2 points left to use! Wow this program just may in fact be amazing if I am struggling with using points!! I need to go recheck my tracker and my food plan to see if I missed something because WOW
