A tale of two oatmeals

I mentioned a few weeks ago that McDonald's now has oatmeal. I got a coupon, and carried it around in my purse for a while. I also found out that Tim Horton's has oatmeal.

Last weekend I decided to try the Tim Horton's oatmeal. I got the berry oatmeal. Hmmm... now I don't see it on their website. What's up with that? Anyway, the berry oatmeal was pretty good, and was 6 Points.

This morning I used my coupon at McDonald's and got the new Fruit & Maple oatmeal. You can get it with brown sugar for 7 Points, or without brown sugar for 6 Points. I decided to get it without brown sugar. I have to say, it was pretty good & I liked it better than the Tim Horton's oatmeal. I like the crunch from the apple pieces, and the chewy raisins & cranberries. The best part is that my husband & daughter apparently went to McDonald's for breakfast this morning, and got 3 more coupons!

I have seen this there and am going to have to try it! It certainly is a good option for people who need to pick something up quickly! I wonder how starbuck's oatmeal rates?

Hmm...I wonder if I could stomach this. McDonalds is notorious for making me queeze.

Cool. But I can't imagine going to McDonald's for oatmeal. That's funny to me but I am glad that if you're going to pick up breakfast at Mickey's that now you can have something worth eating. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. It's so important to know what is out there to eat in the fast food restaurants.

I eat a packet of Quaker low sugar maple oatmeal with a cut up apple in it every morning for breakfast. (I cut up the apple and add it to the oatmeal and water and throw it in the microwave for 2 minutes...I love the way the apples taste ...almost like a hot apple pie) Anyway, it's 3 points and very filling. Good to know about the McD's oatmeal. In a pinch if we were traveling somewhere that would be a good breakfast option if we had to stop at a McD's for breakfast.
