Ugh…planning meals

We know planning meals is tough and we want to help you make it easier. Our team is working on this very task, and we need your help! We want your wishlist for this. What do you need help with in meal planning? Is dinner harder than lunch? Is heading to the Mexican restaurant daunting for you? What about reaching your PointsPlus values and meeting the Good Health Guidelines? Just throw it out there, reach for the sky. No idea is too ridiculous!

Is there a way to directly import recipes from other sites into the weight watchers app? I would like to be able to save them and import without having to key everything in manually into the recipe builder.

I agree with the previous posts, It is essential to be able to choose receipes from the site possibly add my own and make a menu for a week, then print a shopping list from that. Other diet programs have this. I think it would help me to be so much more organized and therefore successful.

I agree with most users, a meal planning software that allows you to pick from the WW recipe library. The ability to add your own recipes, assign points to each and generate a shopping list. Along with a mobile app of course would be great. A search feature for low carb foods, gluten free etc....

What I need is the ability to select recipes and menus to create a weekly menu, that generates a grocery list that I can review and then go grocery shopping. That is my down fall. AS an example, I have been on this computer for 3 hours and I do not have a clue what to purchase, and I do not have a menu for the day more less the week. If I could plan my meals for a week and have a grocery list generate. I would not be fat.

I am looking for something very similar to what most of the other responders. I would like a menu planner where you can choose from a variety of suggested recipes and as you choose the meals, it would generate a shopping list. I have used a menu planning program on line called Relish. I like the way it is done, but I would much rather choose from Weight Watchers recipes.

I wish this site had the ability to create a weekly meal calendar from the WW recipes. I print the shopping list and go! That would be a new "routine" for me. This family would know in advance what we having this week. HUGE time saver, mentally, emotionally, physically...

The grocery list app does not add items. It only displays by recipe. This is not helpful because then you have to resort and add up each item.

You need to have a shopping list generator that automatically will add recipe items to your shopping list.

I have the kitchen planner ww app and it really needs a meal planning component. I had another app that used to import ww recipes but it no long does. Please look at adding this.

Really sad that an outfit (WW) that has so many users, and so much support has such a lousy program. There are free programs which do a much better job than the tools that you pay for with the online program. A meal plan would be nice, the ability to have a shopping list generated from recipes convenient. This is not rocket science people, do a little observation as to how folks use your plan, then automate it! I remember why I was so frustrated with this program (the online tools) before.

Grocery List Please. A suggested meal plan would be great, but what this site doesn't do that most recipe sites do is auto-ad it to a shopping list. I understand that it is available for mobile, but I don't have a smart phone yet. It would be great to be able to choose your recipes for the week and then add them to a shopping list....did I mention a shopping list?

I agree that as a former WW person, I liked the idea of meal plans with options to substitute. Many people seem to agree. What is WW response?????

I was a member of WW online years ago and there were meal plans. I was so disappointed when I joined now and this was no longer an option. I will not be renewing my membership if this is not one of the changes in 2012. It takes too long to plan every days menu. It would be much easier to start with a plan and substitute if necessary. PLEASE offer daily menus soon!!

A great big miss on the weekly meal planner & shopping list creation. Why can't the user select planned meals for the week from the built in not customized recipes & create a shopping list. Can't see much value from web tracking more than using a paper WW cookbook. Seems really basic feature to me.

-Creates meal AND snack plan for 7 days -Uses Daily Points allowance to determine appropriate meals & portion sizes -Includes all daily Good Health Guidelines -Includes weekly grocery list of ingredients (+a list of "staple" items?) -Adjust for preferences (dislike fish, etc.) -Adjust for skill&time (beginner cooking skills, <3mins for bfast) -Star/highlight powerfoods/GHG counts & nutritional content (protein, veggies, etc.) -PRINTABLE!

i would be so overjoyed if you would incorporate this into the iphone app and the new ipad kitchen companion. I totally agree with the previous comment....a weekly meal planner that references the recipes and shopping list. That would be nirvana.

I would like to see a week's to two-week's worth of planned WW friendly meals that are updated every week or bi-weekly. I would like these recipes to have lots of foods in common so that you don't have to buy tons of separate foods. I would like to be able to print a grocery list for these weekly/bi-weekly planned meals so that we can all go to the grocery store and buy the foods we need to make all of these meals (typically serving a family of four). This would make it much easier to plan meals

Why not use the food group plate and turn it into a gigantic meal cheat sheet for every food / recipe. The way I would like it is if for example I click on the grain plate and get a list of common foods and a search options and it automatically tells me how many points / nutrients etc. For meals, maybe link all recipes to it, so when you click on a recipe it will pop on your plate and then an option with mix and match meals. include a 1-2 week meal planner that makes a shopping list for me4app
