Hungry Girl Goes... To The Chip Aisle (Again)!

Check out my favorite new crunchy items on shelves — all guilt-free, of course!

Pepperidge Farm Baked Naturals Simply Cheddar Cracker Chips
Is it a cracker or a chip? Uhhhh, who cares?! These things are like super-light, subtly cheesy Wheat Thins. They also come in Simply Multi-Grain, for those of you who aren't into cheddar.

Each 27-piece serving has 130 calories, 3.5g fat, 24g carbs, 2g fiber, 2g protein, and a PointsPlus® value of 4.

Flamous Organics Falafel Chips
Chips inspired by fatty chickpea patties? Sounds like a weight-loss nightmare. But these are totally Plan-friendly, in addition to being incredibly delicious and unique. The Spicy ones have quite a kick (so keep a glass of water on hand!); go for the Original flavor if you can't take the heat.

Each 1-oz. serving (about 10 - 11 chips) has 118 calories, 6g fat, 16 - 17g carbs, 4g fiber, 4g protein, and a PointsPlus value of 3.

Rold Gold Baked-In Flavor Pretzels

Not one, not two, but three new kinds of flavored pretzels. And there's definitely something for everyone. Choose from Cinnamon Raisin Braided Pretzel Twists (fruity and spiced), Cheesy Garlic Pretzel Nuggets (savory), and Everything Bagel Pretzel Rings (which actually look like crunchy little bagels). Somewhere, a plain pretzel is hiding its face in shame.

Each 1-oz. serving (about 7 - 17 pretzels) has 110 - 120 calories, 2 -
2.5g fat, 20 - 22g carbs, 1 - 2g fiber, 2 - 3g protein, and a PointsPlus value of 3.

Special K Sour Cream & Onion Cracker Chips
Sometimes sour cream & onion chips can be a bit overpowering in flavor, but Special K got it right with these light and crispy chips. They have a little bit of zest, and I love the large serving size (27 chips)! That should satisfy your chip craving. BTW, don't let the name fool you — these are way more like chips than crackers!

Each 27-chip serving has 110 calories, 2.5g fat, 22g carbs, 3g fiber, 2g protein, and a PointsPlus value of 3.

Baked Classics Vanilla Frosting Multigrain Crisps
Adding sweet flavor to chips? It works, people! These mini multigrain rice cakes taste like they've been lightly dusted with vanilla-frosting flavor — just the right amount of sweetness. In single-serving bags, they're the perfect after-meal snack.

Each package has 120 calories, 4g fat, 19g carbs, 2g fiber, 2g protein, and a PointsPlus value of 3.

100-Calorie Bags of Kettle Brand Baked Potato Chips
Love greasy, fried kettle chips but not all of the fat and calories that come with 'em? These portion-controlled baked chips are here to save you. I don't know how it's possible, but they taste exactly like the regular fried ones. Yay for chip-making magic!

Each bag has 100 calories, 2.5 - 3g fat, 16 - 17g carbs, 1 - 2g fiber, 2g protein, and a PointsPlus value of 3.

Snyder's of Hanover Braided Twists

The pretzel fun continues with this line of large twists! My favorite is the Pumpernickel & Onion flavor, which tastes like nothing I've ever had before. The Honey Wheat and Multigrain ones are amazing too.

Each serving (8 - 9 twists) has 120 calories, 2g fat, 23 - 24g carbs, 2 - 3g fiber, 3g protein, and a PointsPlus value of 3.

Flatout EdgeOn Baked Flatbread Crisps
The makers of some of my favorite light flatbreads have come out with  fun, guilt-free crackers — because food just tastes better when it comes in zigzaggy shapes and cutely named flavors like Ibrakefor Four Cheese, Eataboatload Sea Sa lt, Gowildfer Garlic Herb, and Gimmemore Multigrain. Not to mention they're all natural, and most of the varieties are full of fiber and omegas. Hooray!

Each 1-oz. serving (about 15 chips) has 120 - 130 calories, 3.5 - 4.5g fat, 15 - 17g carbs, 1 - 5g fiber, 6g protein, and a PointsPlus value of 3.

While it's nice to have lower fat and calorie snacks, none of these is nutritious and all are very processed.

Love the Special K sour cream and onion cracker I can have a side with my sandwich without guilt. And if I eat 9 chips (which is really plenty), I get it for 1 point! Or 13 for 2. Or 27 for 3! However hungry I am!

I wish you would post sodium content when you give NI. I have to really watch sodium, and I could make decisions much more easily if I knew the sodium content of whatever you are making or promoting. Thanks.
