How many steps equal 1 activity point

I think I know the answer, 10,000 - but I'm in search of confirmation.  I've been wearing the pedometer for a couple of days and I was surprised  how little I walk.  I thought I walked a lot, up and down the hallways, walking to offices rather than calling, walking to the furthest restroom and water cooler.  If I hit 3,500 steps in a day that's pretty good.

So I've decided to try and walk during lunch.  I get an hour, my HQ is right off a golf course and the community area is pretty nice.  I didn't do that today because it's raining, but I'll try to get to the gym tonight to at least walk the treadmill.  I've already committed to the activity point so I better get going.

I have boat load of little things to do tonight so I'm pulling out the WW lasagna as my dinner.  I'll have that, do my boat load of little things, get my walk in and finish off my points with a sorbet.  Sounds like a plan.

gotta go....

I think this number is low. The average person walks a mile in 2000 steps. So 10,000 steps is about five miles. If you walk at a moderate pace (according to WW), you can walk a mile in 20 minutes and earn 2 activity points. So walking 5 miles would earn you 10 activity points.

My weight watcher Pontiac plus pedometer states the 10192 steps I had today =4 activity points

No 10,000 steps isnt 1 activity point it is the target number of steps to take in a day though, if you go into the activity tracker on the bottom you can record your steps from a pedometer (add steps), you need to know the length of your stride enter that and then enter the number of steps and it will give you the amount activity points
