10% Goal!

I made it! I hit that 10% goal today! There's 30 pounds I'll never see again. OK, technically it's 29.9 pounds.... *giggles* My body has settled down into the one pound a week range. I'm happy with that. It soothes my lizard brain screeching about a "bag of wrinkled skin with no muscle." I have to confess that I was worried because I didn't get a whole lot of APs this week because of my blasted knee.
This week, I did much better at eating all my DPs. I didn't quite make it every day, but I was a lot closer than I have been. On the days I didn't make it, I was only 1 or 2 points shy as opposed to 5 or 6 like I had been.
Here's a funny. One night last week hubby didn't feel up to cooking dinner. So, I had some soup when I got home. Even that left me with 15 points. Grrrrrrrr. A couple of hours later I was hungry again and prowling the pantry. My husband cooks LARGE batches of food and freezes dinner portions for just such days. He suggested that I have some penne and meat sauce he'd put up. So I took it out, calculated the points and...holy moly...it was a 16 point meal. One point over? No problem. OM NOM NOM! The problem was that it was a LOT of food for me and I ate past my full point. Not to mention, I think it had sleep potion in it. I ended up crawling into bed well before my normal bedtime.
I weigh every day. Yes, I know that the powers that be don't like that but if I don't, I have all kinds of silly anxieties. The next morning after eating that massive amount of pasta and sauce I have to admit that I was looking at the scale with a jaundiced eye. I was sure that I'd gained at least 5 pounds overnight. The scale showed a half pound loss. Huh? OK, I don't get it but I'll take it!
Onward and downward!
