Right now, I get a daily points plus allowance of 39 points. Most days, I end up coming in a little under that number after dinner and try to fill the rest of the daily target with a dessert of some kind (difficult problem, I know) so I end the day exactly at my target, having hit all my daily healthy checks.
My difficulties lie with the weekly points allowance, those 49 points I never know quite what to do with. I try to save them for special things on the weekends, like meals out or cocktails with friends, but there are weeks when I don't have anything special going on so the weekly points just sit there.
So about halfway through the week, I'll start throwing in mini splurges just to use some of my weekly allowance. This week on Thursday, the day before my reset, I had over thirty weekly points left, so I had a few drinks just to use some up.
I know the guideline is to do while losing what you want to keep doing for a lifetime, which is why I'm trying to make sure I use the weekly points.
